Your outsourced commercial team:Revenue, distribution, marketing and sales from one plan.

A hotel group gives each property a commercial department: a revenue manager, a distribution manager, a marketer and a sales manager, sharing one set of numbers. An independent property gets a GM and a to-do list. A franchised one gets the brand's channels and standards, and the same to-do list. We're the department, outsourced: the same four jobs, done by named people in Sydney, inside your systems, on one plan and one monthly report. This is Tier 2 and Tier 3.

About the team

The monthly cycle

  1. 01Rates every night, within the rules you agreed.
  2. 02Listings, parity and ranking checked weekly.
  3. 03Campaigns, packages and the guest list worked through the month.
  4. 04Reviews read and the fix list updated.
  5. 05Month end: one report, one call, what happened, what it was worth, what we do next.

How it differs

From pricing software: the software suggests a number; the team sets it, fixes the listing, sells the package and reads the review.

From an agency: an agency runs ads; the team decides whether ads are the answer, and owns the rate and the channels the ads send people to.

From a full-time hire: one person can't be a revenue manager, a marketer and a sales manager, and they take leave. The team is three skills for less than one salary, and it doesn't resign.

Questions

What owners ask us

Which tier is the commercial team?

Tier 2, and Tier 3 for groups and larger hotels, which adds corporate and group sales, a weekly call and a multi-property report.

See what it costs

Do we lose control of our rates?

No. You set the rules (floors, ceilings, dates to protect) and see every change in your own PMS with the reason. You can override anything; most owners stop wanting to after the first month.

Who do we talk to?

The revenue manager who sets your rates is on your monthly call and your email thread. Marketing and service work is done by the people named on the About page, and you'll meet them in the first month.

Can the team work with our GM, or replace one?

Work with. A GM runs the property; we run the commercial side beside them. For a group, Tier 3 can take the commercial function off the regional manager's desk entirely.

What if we only want part of it?

Then take Tier 1 (revenue management with distribution) and add the rest as projects. Most clients end up with the team because the parts work better together.

Do you work with franchised or branded hotels?

Yes. Most of our clients are independent, and our team has direct experience with Accor brands including Mantra and Peppers, with Choice Hotels and with Best Western (now WorldHotels). The brand brings its channels, loyalty members and standards; the commercial decisions for your market are still the owner's, and we make them inside the brand's systems and rules, alongside its central teams, with your result as the measure.

What happens next

  1. You pick a time for a call as soon as you send this.
  2. After the call, you send 12 months of figures (we'll show you how).
  3. You get your revenue review and a 90-day plan, then decide.
